沙特阿拉伯，简称沙特，位于阿拉伯半岛，与约旦、伊拉克、科威特、阿联酋、阿曼、也门、巴林、卡塔尔等国家相接壤。沙特是世界上石油储量、产量和销量最多的国家之一，同时也是海湾阿拉伯国家合作委员会（GCC）的核心成员国。近年，沙特成为中国出口汽车最多的国家。
沙特市场
沙特是海湾地区最大的汽车消费市场，由于公共交通系统不完善，城市内及临近城际之前主要的交通工具为汽车。据不完全统计，沙特目前的汽车保有量约为2000万辆，沙特境内人口约为3400万人，其人均汽车保有量居世界前列。2020年中国汽车出口总计约100万辆，其中沙特就有接近10万辆，占比10%，在中国汽车出口国家中排名第一。
沙特整车认证概述
海湾阿拉伯国家合作委员会（简称GCC）是海湾地区主要的政治经济组织，简称海湾合作委员会或者海合会，成立于1981年5月，总部设在沙特阿拉伯首都利雅得。成员国包括阿联酋、阿曼、巴林、卡塔尔、科威特、沙特阿拉伯和也门七国。
海湾标准化组织（GSO）是GCC的下属机构，同时也是GCC认证的主管机构和监管机构，负责进入海湾国家的摩托车、汽车整车以及轮胎的认证和监管。GSO于2004年10月12日在科威特部长会议上规定，自2005年1月1日起，GSO依照相关海湾标准对机动车辆及轮胎产品进行检验并颁发GCC认证证书，被核准的GCC证书将在所有GCC成员国有效。

此外，沙特标准计量组SASO也发布关于SASO eCall的要求，从2023 Model Year也就是2022年起，所有出口到沙特的新型轻型车辆（最大总质量不超过3500kg）均应配备eCall系统；从2025 Model Year也就是2024年起，所有出口到沙特的轻型车辆均应配备eCall系统，并满足法规SASO 2944: 2020的要求。
